About the position
EvolutionIQ is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of cross-functional engineers in building and managing highly productive software engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering customer value quickly while maintaining a high technical standard. This role involves building the technical vision and direction for the team, partnering with the Product Manager, hiring and growing the engineering team, and establishing reliable continuous product delivery infrastructure and processes. Responsibilities
- Build the technical vision and direction for the team
- Partner with the Product Manager to execute on the team charter
- Hire and grow the engineering team
- Setup a reliable continuous product delivery infrastructure and processes with a high focus on quality
- Design interview processes, hire, and manage data software engineers with cross-functional skills
- Demonstrate strong system and architecture design skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Show extreme creativity and resourcefulness, with an appetite to solve previously unsolved problems
- Have experience in deploying systems on GCP or AWS
- Be an extreme self-starter and self-motivator
- Hold oneself to extremely high standards and inspire others to do the same
- Be open to giving and receiving critical feedback
- Be able to handle a fast-paced startup environment
- Have enthusiasm for teamwork and pair work
