About the position

Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, manage, and grow a team of engineers
- Work across engineering teams and partner closely with product managers to deliver on business and technology goals
- Create an engineering culture that supports innovation, creativity, and diversity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability
- Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery through technical design reviews and code reviews
- Partner with other engineering managers to ensure a consistent approach to managing our teams
- Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability
- Perform regular performance reviews and give regular feedback to your reports
Requirements
- 5+ years of development experience
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership capacity, e.g. Architect, Team Lead, or Manager
- Strong understanding of software development best practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team building skills
- Experience working in SAAS software development
- Knowledge of python and/or javascript preferred
- Knowledge of AWS and its services preferred
