Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, and supporting the growth and development of their direct reports. They will work closely with product managers to deliver on business and technology goals, foster an engineering culture that promotes innovation and diversity, and ensure engineering excellence in architecture and execution. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, experience in engineering leadership, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Recruit, mentor, manage, and grow a team of engineers
• Work across engineering teams and partner closely with product managers to deliver on business and technology goals
• Create an engineering culture that supports innovation, creativity, and diversity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability
• Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery through technical design reviews and code reviews
• Partner with other engineering managers to ensure a consistent approach to managing our teams
• Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability
• Perform regular performance reviews and give regular feedback to your reports

• 5+ years of development experience
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership capacity, e.g. Architect, Team Lead, or Manager
• Strong understanding of software development best practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and team building skills
• Experience working in SAAS software development
• Knowledge of python and/or javascript preferred
• Knowledge of AWS and its services preferred
