About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a team of engineers with developing and designing innovative EBOS systems for the renewable industry. This will include creating detailed designs using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks design software as well as applying knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability. You will develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts, conduct feasibility studies, and make design recommendations based on analysis of data and performance metrics. Additionally, you will participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a 4 year Engineering Degree Program.
• Junior standing or above.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic routine professional administrative and engineering support for an engineering team(s) involved in developing and designing innovative EBOS systems and products including solar harnesses and disconnect boxes.
• Creates detailed routine designs using AutoCAD and/or other software platforms; works closely with manager and/or leads to develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
• Supports cross-functional team(s) using learned concepts to develop electromechanical designs from concept to production phase.
• Updates part number(s) matrix and pricing in system of record. Creates basic routine BOMs and completes submittal for quotes.
• Conducts feasibility studies and makes recommendations based on analysis of data and performance metrics.
• Actively participates with team(s) in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• $24 - $33, hourly dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies.
