About The Position

The Engineering Change Coordinator at Siemens Grand Prairie will play a crucial role in reviewing design changes, identifying their impacts on products, and classifying the importance of these engineering changes. This position is essential for ensuring effective communication between the Product Development team and production areas, optimizing engineering change processes, and reporting key performance indicators to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience as a product engineer in a manufacturing environment with Product Lifecycle.
• Basic experience in manufacturing processes and intermediate knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of GD&T and basic knowledge of advanced product quality planning (APQP).
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and pivot tables.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing of electrical products.
• Knowledge of stamping process and electrical schematics interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of metrology techniques for inspection and validation of parts.
• Experience in Change Management and 1+ years in a new Product Development related role.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Review design changes and identify impacts on products.
• Classify the importance of engineering changes.
• Provide feedback to the Product Development team regarding engineering changes.
• Communicate engineering changes to production and support areas.
• Coordinate planning and execution of activities related to engineering changes along with approval workflows.
• Optimize time, cost, and scope of engineering changes at the manufacturing site.
• Report KPIs and status related to engineering changes to PDE and QM Management.
• Create, update, and enhance procedures related to engineering changes.
