About the position
The Engagement Manager will lead services engagements from contract signature to successful project delivery, ensuring scope, budget, client satisfaction, and business outcomes are achieved. This role involves building deep relationships, gaining trust, and enabling client success. Responsibilities include managing relationships with partners and vendors, proposing recommendations, handling customer escalations, and coordinating weekly status meetings. The Engagement Manager also owns overall accountability for successful delivery, sets quality standards for project deliverables, and facilitates project-related vendor relationships. Additionally, they work with Sales to ensure relevant and accurately estimated projects during the proposal phase.
Responsibilities
- Ensure profitability of each engagement including optimizing engagement profitability and value to the company
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution internally and with partners
- Ensure collaboration amongst assigned project teams
- Propose recommendations and handle customer escalations
- Manage relationships and day-to-day activities with partners and external vendors
- Work directly with external partners and internal cross-functional teams to execute competitive advantage strategy, increase gross profit, and develop a deeper engagement with end-users
- Be the key point of contact and partner for each assigned client engagement
- Obtain and maintain complete project sponsor support of each project
- Coordinate and lead weekly status meetings with each assigned client
- Own and maintain overall accountability for successful engagement delivery
- Serve as the expert in developing against the company's methodology and processes
- Enable dissemination and assimilation of Delivery standards and processes
- Set and ensure quality standards for project deliverables
- Prioritize Engagement Management efforts and balance cross-project resourcing
- Facilitate all project related vendor relationships
- Review key documentation to the appropriate audience (technical vs. business)
- Provide weekly project status reports
- Work with Sales to ensure projects are relevant, accurately estimated, and prioritized during the proposal phase
- Remain engaged with the client while becoming a "thought leader" for the next steps in their technology journey.
