About The Position

At PosiGen, we are passionate about providing money saving solar energy and energy efficiency solutions for people of all income levels. We are seeking an equally passionate Energy Efficiency Lead Technician to help further our mission through excellent craftsmanship, customer service, and a team-focused approach. The Energy Efficiency Lead Technician plays a key role in ensuring high-quality energy efficiency upgrades by overseeing site inspections, monitoring installations, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position involves documenting quality control findings, identifying and correcting discrepancies, and collaborating with contractors and field teams to enhance installation processes. The technician also develops training programs, improves quality assurance procedures, and supports customer service efforts through technical expertise. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 1–3 years of roofing experience (required).
  • Previous residential solar installation experience (preferred).
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
  • Ability to work under mobile homes as needed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
  • Ability to obtain any licenses or certifications required by state guidelines.
  • Must be flexible based on customer availability.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of three years of driving history, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Willing to complete the pre-employment screening process.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble solar panels and support structures according to specifications.
  • Install solar systems per relevant codes and standards, following schematics and instructions.
  • Measure, cut, and secure structural framing and solar modules.
  • Access residential rooftops and work at high elevations to install and maintain solar systems.
  • Mount racking and electrical equipment with structural integrity.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of installation equipment.
  • Keep work sites clean, organized, and safe throughout the project.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements, completing necessary training.
  • Participate in meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions as required.
  • Follow state guidelines for workmanship to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Base Salary: $25—$30 USD
