About The Position

Join our team as a variable shift, full-time, Ambulance Service Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Canyon, TX. BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.

Requirements

• Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion
• Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction 'A' permissible
• Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment

Nice To Haves

• Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS)

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, BSA Health System Policies and Department Guidelines
• Safely operate emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies and Department Guidelines
• Accept other tasks as assigned by the EMS Director
