About The Position

The position involves supervising customer service associates and managing the front end of the store, with a focus on enhancing overall operations of the Pharmacy and Retail Store. The role supports the Store Manager in achieving company goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and improving store sales and profitability. Responsibilities include team leadership, customer engagement, operational oversight, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a solid academic record or completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program, or a High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, professional business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
  • Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of start date.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, which may require relocation.
  • Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise customer service associates and designated hitters.
  • Manage the front end of the store and make recommendations on overall operations.
  • Support the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company deliverables.
  • Engage customers and resolve complaints to ensure a positive experience.
  • Monitor customer service metrics and provide coaching and training to team members.
  • Supervise daily store operations, including task delegation and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with external partners for community outreach opportunities.
  • Analyze financial and performance data to create action plans for improvement.
  • Lead and train team members, providing mentoring and support for career development.
  • Communicate regularly with team members to ensure open communication.
