About The Position

Element Materials Technology is seeking an EMC Test Technician to join their operations team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This entry-level position focuses on conducting compliance testing for a variety of RF wireless products, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and Cellular radios. The technician will be responsible for setting up test equipment, performing tests according to established standards, and documenting results while interacting with customers regularly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years working in product testing with specific experience in EMC Testing.
• Proven ability to use EMC test equipment such as EMI receivers, Anechoic Chambers, and Spectrum Analyzers.
• Experience testing devices with wireless capabilities (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC).
• Basic knowledge of radio test standards for North America, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of EMC and RF tests, including setting up test equipment and customer equipment.
• Perform testing to applicable standards or test plans and accurately document the testing process and outcomes.
• Understand customer test plans and follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation.
• Accurately observe and record test progress and results, organizing and documenting data for each assigned project.
