About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Stantec Buildings offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in electrical project design within a collaborative and innovative environment. Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's program or equivalent in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, with at least 1 year of engineering coursework.
  • Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD as drafting/design tools preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction, follow processes, and accept feedback from senior engineers/designers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, engineering markups, codes, and other similar materials.
  • Use Revit and AutoCAD software to produce contract documentation to communicate electrical design information.
  • Perform interdisciplinary coordination with architects, other engineering disciplines, and design-build contractors to deliver quality projects to clients.
  • Perform preliminary site assessments and construction project observations.
  • Perform basic calculations to analyze and design individual building electrical system components using company standard software and internal tools.
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
  • Assist with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
