About The Position

The EHS Specialist is responsible for working with facility management to effectively direct, implement, monitor, and manage key environmental, health and safety issues inside and outside of the manufacturing facility. Areas of focus will be on compliance management, environmental, health, and safety planning and monitoring. This position is 100% on-site and may be required to work occasional off-shift schedule and/or weekends depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety Sciences or a related discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of experience; Senior specialist requires a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Knowledge on the required legislative obligations by OSHA and company EHS policies and procedures.
• Root Cause Analysis for accidents or incidents.
• Technical writing skill, interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS office applications, and presentation skills.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, management, and implementation of EHS Programs, Policies and Procedures, Compliance/Risk assessment programs, and Safety trainings.
• Manage/maintain Safety equipment, safe working practices; Develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Administrate and maintain compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, Crane Inspection, SPCC, SWPP, ISO 14001, ISO 45000 etc.
• Evaluate PPE ensuring proper use and maintenance of PPE.
• Investigation of all on site incidents and property damage under the direction of the EHS Manager. Follow-up should be done to minimize future exposure and hazard elimination.
• Identify existing or potential health & physical hazards, determine corrective measures and follow up to ensure the measures have been implemented.
• All other duties as assigned.
