About The Position

As an Echocardiogram Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and assisting with various cardiac imaging procedures on both adult and pediatric patients. This role is critical in supporting the healing mission of Deaconess by providing essential diagnostic services that aid in the assessment of heart conditions.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or meet clinical experience and didactic coursework as specified in the ARDMS application for certification.
• Must obtain RCS or RDCS certification within 12 months from the date of hire if not already credentialed.
• Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in performing advanced echocardiographic techniques.
• Familiarity with non-invasive cardiac testing and diagnostics.
• Strong patient interaction and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, including two-dimensional and M-mode with color flow Doppler and Doppler echocardiography.
• Conduct stress echocardiograms and pharmacological stress testing.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of echocardiogram results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
