About The Position

The Early Interventionist at Stars Therapy Services is responsible for providing specialized early intervention instruction to children aged 0-3 years enrolled in the California Early Start Program. This role emphasizes family-centered therapy, ensuring compliance with regulations while working directly with children in their home environment. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in Early Intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, contributing to the development of children and their families in San Diego County.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or related field (Preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • One (1) year of experience working with children (Preferred).
  • CPR Certification (Adult, child, infant, AED) & First Aid (Preferred).
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred).
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and MS Word.
  • Available to work on Saturdays based on operational needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
  • Must be able to submit verification of authorization to work in the U.S.A. upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload of families providing direct services in an in-home setting, clinic, or community-based as assigned.
  • Complete detailed reports for each session documenting the child's development, behavioral needs, and other required data by scheduled deadlines.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to address developmental and behavioral concerns by sharing learning plans and suggesting activities.
  • Regularly clean toys and other materials in preparation for instruction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records through various company systems.
  • Complete required documentation and data collection by set deadlines.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training, and in-services for Stars Therapy Program.
  • Collaborate in assessments and adapt individualized client treatment as needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Communicate effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Apply a high level of discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA and all company policies.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with team members, vendors, and consumers.
