About The Position
This will be the Placerville Union School District 6 year of the Dual Language Immersion Program. The Dual Immersion (DI) Program started with a Kindergarten class that integrates English Learner students and English proficient students for the purpose of developing bilingualism, bi-literacy and bi-culturalism. Instruction is delivered at Kindergarten in Spanish 90% of the day and in English 10%; this gradually shifts until the end of 5th grade where 50% of the day is spent in each language. The curriculum taught is aligned with the Common Core State Standards in Language Arts, Mathematics and all other subjects. Elementary teaching position will be at Schnell School.
