About The Position

The Office of Adult Education and Vocational Services (Stateville CC) is seeking an Educational Diagnostician. The ideal candidate will screen incoming students' Offender 360 (O360) information to determine if standardized achievement testing is necessary. They will administer and score student assessments and assist with records for individuals in custody and current students in programming. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in education, psychology or related field, with coursework in diagnostic evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience of educational testing administration techniques.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience working with educational programs and services.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience following educational test guidelines and procedures.
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience interpreting educational data and explaining educational test results.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience using a computer and working with standardized software in collecting and maintaining student reports and records.
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience safeguarding confidential information regarding student records, reports and findings, and standardized test materials.
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with individuals in custody and/or similar type of population.

Responsibilities

  • Screens incoming students’ Offender 360 Tracking System (O360) information to determine if reception/classification standardized achievement testing is necessary.
  • Administers and scores student assessments according to established procedures.
  • Assists with correlation of records for individuals in custody and current students in programming.
  • Assists with keeping records up-to-date and maintains maintenance of student records in accordance with Department of Corrections (DOC) procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
