Operates radio, teletype, Communication Aided Dispatch (CAD), various computer systems and telephone communications devices to collect and distribute restricted access, mission critical information to and from law enforcement officers and other public safety workers. Communicates with the public in routine and emergency situations. Successful candidate must be able to maintain positive working relationships while performing duties in close proximity to co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Operate radio, teletype, Communication Aided Dispatch (CAD), various computer systems and telephone communications devices.
• Collect and distribute restricted access, mission critical information to and from law enforcement officers and other public safety workers.
• Communicate with the public in routine and emergency situations.
• Maintain positive working relationships while performing duties in close proximity to co-workers.

Requirements

• Experience in communicating with others.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working as a communications dispatcher preferred.
