About The Position

The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of cranes and support equipment to job sites. This position involves coordinating with various personnel, including Crane Operators and Drivers, to optimize scheduling and resource allocation while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate with multiple teams and personnel.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for equipment and labor.
• Ability to evaluate and manage equipment maintenance and cleanliness standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with crane operations or heavy equipment handling.
• Familiarity with scheduling software or dispatch systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate labor and equipment needs, assign, and dispatch labor and equipment while maintaining communication with Operators and Drivers.
• Coordinate with the local Branch Manager and Dispatchers in other branches to determine efficient scheduling of labor and equipment.
• Evaluate crane fleet cleanliness, maintenance, and yard tasks, assigning them to employees without field jobs and communicating service issues to the Service Manager.
• Ensure permits, registration, and insurance cards are up to date and accurate for each crane and tractor, ordering necessary permits to comply with DOT laws.
• Check that all inspections have been completed in the equipment file and file the paperwork appropriately, reviewing ELD compliance for assigned cranes and tractors.
• Check daily logs for employee hours to ensure compliance and review e-tickets for billing and payroll.
• Assign daily tasks to employees the day before jobs, printing JDS, lift plans, and maps as needed.
