About The Position

The Director - Value Analysis at Universal Health Services, Inc. is responsible for leading the Corporate Supply Chain Clinical Value Analysis Program across 392 facilities. This role involves strategic planning, standardization initiatives, and oversight of clinical value analysis related to medical devices, commodity products, and capital equipment. The Director will also manage a team, participate in sourcing, and ensure compliance with established standards while promoting service excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of related experience required.
  • Experience leading a systems level value analysis team for a provider organization.
  • RN Acute Care Experience in areas such as Med-Surg, Critical Care, Cardiovascular, Surgery, or Obstetrics.
  • Detailed clinical and operations management experience required.
  • Strong leadership presence to evaluate business opportunities and departmental relationships.
  • Financial knowledge of pro forma analysis and vendor proposal reviews.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

  • Six Sigma credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction of the Value Analysis Program, identifying opportunities for standardization and utilization of clinical products.
  • Oversee Value Analysis Software, including review and implementation of new products and technology.
  • Serve as a Clinical Subject Matter Expert, providing Supply Chain support across various clinical areas.
  • Direct contracting staff on sourcing opportunities for clinical products and medical devices.
  • Manage operational responsibilities and performance evaluations for the Value Analysis team.
  • Educate hospital clinical areas on Best Demonstrated Practice strategies and market trends.
  • Facilitate Facility Service Line Committee Meetings, sharing ideas and strategies to achieve targets.
  • Review specialty-based capital purchasing requisitions to ensure compliance with UHS standards.
