About The Position

The Director of Revenue Cycle Applications is responsible for overseeing departmental staff and managing application analysis and support for Revenue Cycle billing applications. This role includes responsibilities for IDX Maintenance, OnBase Billing Center Workflows, and various IDX Modules, along with project management and hardware support. The position aims to ensure efficient billing processes and effective communication within the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience with healthcare information systems.
• 5 to 8 years of experience with healthcare billing practices and management.
• Strong understanding of IDX Billing Software system including BAR, DBMS, ETM, Security, and AES.
• Extensive background in Medical Billing and understanding of medical reimbursement and payments.
• Excellent analytical skills to examine data and interpret results.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interrelate, teach, and convey information to staff.

• An undergraduate degree in information systems or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage department staff by providing supervision and prioritization of projects.
• Oversee IDX Maintenance, including data dictionaries that support the billing process.
• Manage ETM Application Support for Accounts Receivables follow-up, including rejections and claim edits.
• Oversee OnBase application enhancements and support for Billing Center workflows.
• Handle system support issues and resolution for IDX modules such as Anesthesia, TES, and BAR.
• Collaborate with IDX, KAV, Waystar, and consultants for timely resolution of systems support issues.
• Manage large scale applications related projects, including upgrades.
• Responsible for hardware maintenance and support for application-related Windows servers.
• Develop policies and procedures for information system application management.
• Perform research and systems analysis of problems reported by billing operations and recommend solutions.
