About The Position

The Director, Platform Engineer at PGIM is responsible for implementing solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform to address various business challenges. This role focuses on optimizing processes and data flows, leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency, and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and involves hands-on development, testing, and ongoing support of implemented solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • 6-8 years of experience in solution development, specifically utilizing Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio.
  • Experience with rapidly building solutions using leading low-code platforms.
  • Strong understanding of automation principles and best practices when developing solutions.
  • Experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for exploring new technologies to enhance business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their challenges.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Create automated workflows to improve efficiency and streamline business processes.
  • Optimize existing processes and data flows to ensure they are efficient, non-redundant, and systematic.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring robust and scalable implementations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented solutions, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.
  • Document solutions and workflows clearly to facilitate knowledge sharing and support organizational continuity.
