About the position

Resident Home is seeking a talented SEO Expert to join their growing Product team. Reporting to the General Manager, Labs, this fully remote position will be responsible for building a best-in-class SEO practice across technical and content SEO. The SEO Expert will collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to implement SEO-first strategies and ensure the index is healthy and efficient. They will also work closely with the brand team to create customer-friendly content and serve as an evangelist for SEO across the company's brands. Additionally, the SEO Expert will lead a team of SEO experts, develop and implement the overall SEO strategy, and stay up to date with the latest SEO trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

Build a best-in-class SEO practice across technical and content SEO across web properties
Establish an SEO-first implementation strategy with Product and Engineering teams
Ensure the index is healthy and crawls are efficient
Partner with the brand team to establish customer-friendly content to support SEO efforts
Provide clear prioritization and rationale for initiatives
Serve as an evangelist for SEO across brands and update processes
Lead a team of SEO experts and aid in career development
Plan, develop, and implement the overall SEO strategy for Resident
Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends
Lead the selection and management of external tools and partner ecosystem
Implement on-page content optimizations and SEO best practices
Implement technical SEO optimizations and best practices
Build a sustainable approach to SEO as a core foundation of new pages, features, or releases
Strong technical background and ability to translate business/marketing needs to technical requirements
5+ years of progressive experience in SEO, Search Marketing, Web Development, Content Marketing, or related field
Extensive knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and search engine ranking factors
Experience with relevant SEO tools and web analytics tools
Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot basic JS, HTML, and CSS
Expertise in A/B and other testing methods and experience measuring SEO tactics

Requirements

Strong technical background
Excellent communication skills
Ability to translate business/marketing needs to technical requirements
5+ years of progressive experience in SEO, Search Marketing, Web Development, Content Marketing, or related field
Extensive knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and search engine ranking factors
Experience with relevant SEO tools (ex: Botify, Screaming Frog, GSC, Brightedge, SEM Rush, etc.) and web analytics tools (ex: Google Analytics, Adobe, etc.)
Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot basic JS, HTML, and CSS
Expertise in A/B and other testing methods and experience measuring SEO tactics via these methods
