About the position
The Director of Product Marketing at Hiya is responsible for developing and implementing the product marketing strategy. This leadership position involves creating go-to-market strategies, conducting market analysis, and ensuring effective positioning of Hiya's products. The Director will lead a team of product marketing managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging and drive product adoption. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive the adoption and success of SaaS products.
- Lead and mentor a team of four direct reports, providing guidance, support, and fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment and consistent messaging.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of target customers, their pain points, and buying behavior.
- Create compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches, including product positioning, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
- Enable the sales team by developing effective sales collateral, tools, and training materials.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
- Partner with the product management team to provide input on product roadmap and enhancements based on market and customer insights.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of product marketing professionals
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and the ability to translate technical concepts into customer benefits
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex market dynamics and make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and product launches
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and present to both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving business growth and achieving targets
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in market research and analysis tools, as well as experience with marketing automation and CRM systems
