Director of Product Design

As the Director of Product Design at Homebound, you will be responsible for shaping the design vision for our platform experience and driving the growth of our product, research, and brand teams. You will play a pivotal role in automating the home building experience and ensuring alignment with our mission, business goals, and user needs. Additionally, you will lead a team of designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize the design throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires a strong work ethic, a hands-on approach, and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the design process.

Lead the design strategy and vision for the platform, ensuring alignment with the mission, business goals, and user needs.

Oversee and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of design throughout the product lifecycle.

Manage and optimize the design process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in delivering high-quality design solutions.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design, and apply them to enhance the platform experience.

Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards, guidelines, and processes.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand user needs, gather feedback, and iterate on design solutions.

Drive the growth of the product, research, and brand teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Take a hands-on approach as needed, actively participating in the design process and contributing to the creation of design deliverables.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality design assets and deliverables, meeting project timelines and objectives.
