Director of Product Design

The job overview for this role is that Stylitics is seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to join their team as the first Director of Design. This pivotal role requires both exceptional design expertise and strategic leadership to shape the Design function. The Director of Design will be responsible for setting the standard of excellence, inspiring the team with creativity, and devising strategies to grow and scale the design team. They will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design across all shopper touchpoints and establish best-in-class design processes. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in design leadership, expertise in modern design disciplines, and strong strategic thinking skills.

• Lead design projects and drive innovation
• Mentor and guide a team of designers
• Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate design across all shopper touchpoints
• Assess resource needs and structure the design team
• Establish and implement human-centered design processes and tools
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
• Establish and maintain relationships with external design partners
• Build and scale design teams
• Expertise in research, UX/UI, visual design, and interaction design
• Strong design aesthetic for different client needs
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, UserTesting, and Miro
• Launch impactful products from concept to delivery
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

• Proven track record of success in a design leadership role, with at least 3 years of experience building and scaling design teams
• Expertise in and across modern design disciplines, including research, UX/UI, visual design, and interaction design
• Strong design aesthetic that can accommodate and adjust to hundreds of different client needs
• Extensive experience with design tools, such as Figma, UserTesting, and Miro, along with a solid understanding of how to use them in design and product activities such as identifying value, defining hypotheses, researching context, and measuring experiments
• Track record of launching impactful products from concept to delivery
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance hands-on work with long-term vision and planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
• A passion for staying at the forefront of design trends, technologies, and industry advancements
