About The Position

The Director of eCommerce at Haynes Furniture Company is responsible for leading and optimizing the Episerver/Optimizely CMS & Commerce platform. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaboration across departments to enhance the online customer experience. The Director will work closely with IT and Marketing teams to implement eCommerce solutions, address technical challenges, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Episerver/Optimizely CMS & Commerce platforms.
  • Proven expertise in eCommerce platforms, front-end and back-end integrations, and client-facing consulting roles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably STORIS.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend technologies (e.g., Java, Ruby, Node, PHP, or C#).
  • Strong knowledge of web and mobile application architecture.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to quickly learn and apply new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Episerver/Optimizely CMS & Commerce platform, driving its strategy and execution.
  • Partner with IT and Marketing to ensure seamless platform integration and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate platform feasibility for diverse requirements.
  • Develop and implement front-end and back-end solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and backend technologies like Java, Ruby, Node, PHP, or C#.
  • Optimize platform performance for scalable web and mobile applications.
  • Design web applications that enhance customer engagement and team productivity.
  • Provide cross-functional training and act as a bridge between IT and Marketing teams.
  • Analyze eCommerce metrics such as GMROI, margin, and sales to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and platform demonstrations to diverse audiences.
  • Act as a consultant to internal teams, clients, and partners, ensuring continuous learning and innovation.
  • Uphold a culture of respect, adaptability, and strong work ethics, while being flexible with schedules as needed.
  • Monitor eCommerce platform P&L to align with revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Regularly update Executive Leadership on platform performance and progress.
