About The Position

The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is seeking a Director of Membership to develop and execute a membership program for tennis players, providers, and facility operators. This role is critical in contributing to player participation and retention, coach quantity, diversity, and facility court retention and utilization. The Director will oversee all traditional membership operations, including communication strategies, churn management, renewals, payment processing, financial forecasting, and settlement. The position is located in Orlando, FL.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of Membership/Customer Loyalty/Marketing experience.
  • Experience in development and delivery of customer loyalty program(s).
  • Leader in the membership space that can anticipate customer needs.
  • Experience with needs-based product/service development.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in devising and managing pricing strategies.
  • Experience in affinity marketing and managing external partnerships.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Team management and experience working with various functional teams/stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a membership program for tennis players, providers, and facility operators.
  • Reinvent a membership framework that drives membership numbers and revenue.
  • Oversee and execute all traditional membership operations.
  • Manage and continuously evolve the three distinct membership pillars: Player/Fan, Coach/Provider, and Facility.
  • Create strategic partnerships that add value to the membership pillars.
  • Drive membership growth by actively recruiting new members.
  • Lead affinity marketing efforts with new partners.
  • Ensure efficient data capture and maintain graduated levels of data.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement a membership loyalty program.
  • Develop and implement customized member engagement strategies.
  • Apply strong financial acumen to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Devise and implement initiatives to drive the adoption of products and services among members.
  • Create synergy and implement strategies to integrate membership from local grassroots tennis to the US Open.
