About the position
Anaconda is seeking a talented Director, Brand Marketing to join their rapidly-growing company. This role involves developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote and enhance the image and perception of Anaconda. The primary objective is to effectively communicate Anaconda's values, mission, and unique selling propositions to the target audience. The Director will be responsible for brand strategy and identity, marketing campaigns, and growing Anaconda's "share of voice" through thought leadership efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop, promote, and protect Anaconda brand as the leading platform for Data Science, AI/ML, and Enterprise Python
- Develop and maintain core corporate messaging and positioning for over 33M users and thousands of enterprise customers
- Activate the website as the hub for engaging, educating, and winning individual users and enterprise customers
- Develop high-quality content for marketing campaigns to communicate a consistent message across all channels
- Define and implement corporate branding design across all marketing efforts
- Grow Anaconda's "share of voice" through effective Thought Leadership efforts externally
- Engage and win highly technical B2B and B2C audience through website, social media, and PR marketing channels
- Lead content marketing on websites and social channels to engage users and IT buyers
- Create simple and easy buyer journeys for highly technical audience
- Manage a team and seek feedback from internal and external channels
- Drive execution based on plan and commitments in a timely manner
- Embody core values of ability, humility, innovation, and action.
Requirements
- Successful track record of engaging and winning highly technical B2B and B2C audience through website, social media and PR marketing channel
- Experience in the high-tech industry particularly in open source or DevOps
- 8+ years direct experience and proven success engaging users and IT buyers through content marketing on websites and social channels
- Experience in engaging a highly technical audience through simple and easy buyer journeys
- People management experience for at least 5 years
- Ability to lead and think out-of-the-box along the lines of modern marketing principles
- Strong trait of ownership with the learning attitude that seek out feedback from internal and external channels
- Proven experience of “execution excellence” that drives execution based on plan and commitments in a timely manner
- Team attitude: “I am not done, until WE are done”
