About the position
The Director of Brand & Content at Kinaxis will be responsible for guiding the development of the company's brand strategy and brand campaigns to create awareness and differentiation in the market. They will also oversee the content strategy, ensuring the creation of compelling stories and assets that connect with the target audience. This individual will work closely with the Creative Team and other departments to develop experiences that showcase the company's work and build trust with key audiences. The Director of Brand & Content will play a crucial role in driving brand awareness, loyalty, and growth for Kinaxis.
Responsibilities
- Leads the strategic evolution of the Kinaxis brand strategy, including purpose, position, and personality
- Owns brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity - driving awareness and relevancy while ensuring consistency across channels and efforts
- Partners across Marketing to execute plans to drive awareness and generate leads, increase brand loyalty through customer retention, and achieve growth objectives
- Manages internal and agency resources to create big, bold brand activations as well as marketing campaign needs
- Works across Marketing to plan and oversee advertising activities in support of brand awareness
- Designs and leads the development of a thought leadership platform and associated content that distinguishes the company in the market
- Manages and guides design and creative development to ensure a consistent and recognizable look and feel, working with creative teams to develop internal guidelines and brand assets to enable the organization to execute against the brand
- Translate brand strategy and activation activities into compelling content opportunities by identifying themes and hooks to build internal and external audience engagement
- Establishes brand measurement system to measure and optimize awareness, perception, and preference with associated KPIs
- Acts as a trusted advisor throughout the organization, sharing expertise on what drives brand performance and provides guidance on how to accelerate growth/impact on our long-term plans
- Coordinate with analytics, digital marketing, and media to test and optimize content including SEO and search results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- 10+ years progressive experience in brand management within complex organizations
- Demonstrated success leading teams and establishing effective working relationships with executives globally across the organization
- Proven people-management and coaching skills
- Ability to lead complex projects
- Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
- Works with a sense of urgency, highly responsive in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solver, change champion, and passionate about delivering results
- Proven ability to thrive in a high energy, fast paced environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills with ability to influence and gain support across the organization
- Proven ability to develop content strategies that increase consideration and drive demand including personas, insights, compelling messaging strategy, journey maps
