About the position
The job overview for this role is to define and build account-based marketing practices for Forter's go-to-market strategy, with a focus on the largest digital commerce enterprises. The successful candidate will partner with the sales team, educate and enable fellow marketers and salespeople, set and report on goals, lead by example in customizing experiences for target accounts, and lead and develop a team responsible for executing ABM programs. They should have a proven track record in revenue marketing or account-based marketing, be innovative and adaptable to new ideas and tools, and have strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and build the account-based marketing (ABM) strategy for the Americas
- Establish the right framework and programs to engage target accounts and scale over time
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer success teams
- Educate fellow marketers and enable salespeople on ABM practices
- Set clear goals for ABM efforts and track and report on progress to senior leadership
- Lead by example in customizing experiences for target accounts
- Lead and develop the team responsible for executing ABM programs in the Americas
- Stay updated on new ABM ideas and tools to accelerate efforts
- Rally sales and marketing teams around a common definition of ABM
- Provide direction and clear obstacles for team members
- Demonstrate a proven track record in revenue marketing or account-based marketing
- Consider global digital commerce trends and potential for scaling efforts
- Possess strong communication and collaboration skills
- Represent marketing at quarterly business reviews
- Foster a culture of trust and uphold the company's defined set of values.
Requirements
- Proven track record in revenue marketing, account-based marketing, or similar high-performing function
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to define and build account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and programs
- Experience partnering with sales teams and aligning on target accounts and activities
- Ability to educate and enable fellow marketers and salespeople on ABM practices
- Proficiency in setting and reporting on goals for ABM efforts
- Leadership skills to lead and develop a team responsible for executing ABM programs
- Innovative mindset to track new ideas and experiment with ABM programs
- Ability to rally sales and marketing teams around a defined definition of ABM
- Player/coach mentality with a willingness to provide direction and clear obstacles for team members
- Global mindset with an understanding of global digital commerce trends and scalability of ABM efforts.
