About The Position

Digital Marketing leads omnichannel planning, execution, and measurement in close partnership with Brand, Agency, Business Insights and Production teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and execution of omnichannel engagement plans to support EMPAVELI across two indications - PNH & C3G/IC-MPGN. You will serve as a dedicated point-of-contact for digital working with Marketing Indication Leads for HCP & Patient. This role requires internal matrix collaboration (Production, Brand, Capabilities, Business Insights & Analytics) and management of external partners such as digital and media agencies. Candidates for this position should have experience in pharmaceutical DTC and HCP digital marketing, Agency management, Brand partnership and MLR approval processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience (pharmaceutical/biotech or related marketing or media agency).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical omnichannel strategy and digital marketing, with a deep understanding of the digital landscape.
  • Experience leading digital engagement, channel, and analytics activities, showcasing strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability in managing digital agencies, vendors, and cross-functional support teams, demonstrating effective project management and collaboration.
  • Competence in developing, evaluating, and activating media plans, ensuring optimal reach and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate internal MLR review processes, ensuring compliance and timely approvals.
  • Prior Digital or Media Marketing Agency experience is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Veeva PromoMats, PowerBI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Lucid, Veeva CRM.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics and measurement tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively convey digital strategies and results to the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute DTC and HCP omni-channel engagement recommendations based upon customer insights, brand strategy, and latest digital marketing trends for C3G and PNH
  • Draft and review creative briefs and other necessary requirements documentation to support the development of branded and unbranded digital programs, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives.
  • Lead internal PRC review processes and work with external partners to ensure timely and accurate preparation of digital programs (e.g., CRM, third-party programs, media, websites, mobile, email, social media, SEO/SEM, IVA, Field-Trigger e-mails, etc.)
  • Partner with the Brand, digital agencies, media partners, and the Apellis IT team to define project strategy, scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
  • Lead and own DTC and HCP digital initiatives KPI and measurement reporting, providing actionable insights to optimize campaign performance.
  • Lead pull-through of DTC and HCP digital tactics and media programs that drive business impact, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing ROI.
  • Collaborate with Business Insights & Analytics to ensure KPI identification, measurement plans, and ongoing reporting/optimization of digital programs based on insights and analytics.
  • Drive innovation by partnering with Brands, external partners, and capability leads to develop innovative new digital tactics, staying ahead of the curve in the digital landscape.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular reporting on progress, challenges, and solutions, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated digital and DTC/HCP program experience, showcasing a proven track record of success in digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage annual digital programs, ensuring efficient budget allocation and resource management.
  • Stay abreast of the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to provide strategic recommendations to the marketing team.
  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize future digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies that support brand objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to the marketing team on digital marketing tools and techniques.
