Requirements

  • Highly motivated with the knowledge, experience, and ability to evaluate a customer's needs.
  • Ability to identify and recommend the best solution and perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge of complex components and how they work and interact.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts.
  • Must be able to complete preventive maintenance and install component and part upgrades.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Understand and achieve performance objectives for individual and team repair production.
