About the position
Zilliz is a fast-growing startup that is revolutionizing the field of AI by developing cutting-edge vector database technologies. As a Developer Advocate, you will play a crucial role in building relationships with developers worldwide, guiding and educating them through various channels such as blogs, webinars, and presentations. You will also have the opportunity to attend and present at open-source meetups and conferences, collaborating with developers and advocating for their needs. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams to drive the growth and strategy of developer communities, fostering an open and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with Milvus and Towhee developers worldwide
- Create awareness, guide, and educate developers through blogs, webinars, tutorials, code examples, and presentations
- Attend and present at open-source meetups and conferences
- Collaborate with developers, advocate for their needs, and share their success stories
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to drive strategy and growth of developer communities
- Partner with the Linux Foundation to foster an open and inclusive environment for developers
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as an open-source developer advocate, solutions engineer, software engineer, or equivalent role
- Working knowledge of open-source technologies, best practices, and software design
- Technical experience with artificial intelligence (AI), databases, and big data
- Engaged in technical communities such as GitHub, Medium, DZone, Stack Overflow, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc
- Experience developing content for blogs, presentations, demos, talks, and tutorials for technical audiences
