About The Position

The Departmental Analyst 12 - Waiver Data Analyst position at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is responsible for serving as the primary data analyst for the Waiver for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). This role involves implementing a statewide expansion project for the SED waiver, collecting and analyzing program data to meet federal Medicaid requirements, preparing reports on waiver services, and providing technical assistance to Behavioral Health Providers. The analyst will also assist in planning and training development for Behavioral Health staff related to the SED Waiver Program.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Three years of professional experience, including one year equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling and guidance, child development, family and child ecology, sociology, family and community services, family studies, or a comparable program.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Medicaid services.
  • Experience developing and conducting trainings and presentations.
  • Knowledge of methods of planning, developing, and administering programs.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with the Waiver Support Application (WSA).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary data analyst for the Waiver for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
  • Implement the statewide expansion project for the SED waiver.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain program data to meet federal Medicaid requirements.
  • Prepare reports regarding the cost and utilization of waiver services for annual federal reporting.
  • Provide technical assistance to Behavioral Health Providers.
  • Assist with planning and training development for Behavioral Health staff related to the SED Waiver Program.
