About The Position

The Department Manager for Irrigation at SiteOne Landscape Supply is responsible for leading the irrigation department within the branch, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role involves managing sales and operations planning, promoting safety, and fostering a positive work environment while training staff on irrigation products and customer needs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry with an understanding of irrigation products (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher (preferred).
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with sales and operations planning and statistical demand forecasting.
• Promote a safe work environment by leading by example and emphasizing safety daily.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization and training.
• Understand and execute inventory management principles and sales strategies.
• Create a positive environment for employees that encourages teamwork.
• Train and develop staff on the irrigation product line and customer needs.

• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.
