Requirements

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of infection control practices.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is advantageous.
• MA Dental Assistant Licence (Required).
• Radiology Certification (Required).
• CPR Certification (Required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards.
• Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately.
• Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a friendly environment for young patients.
• Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries using Dentrix software.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
