About The Position

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid driver's license (any state).
• At least two (2) years of verifiable previous contract security, military, or law enforcement experience (preferred).
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
• Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment administered by the TSA.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal History Record Check as required by the TSA.
• Denver Guard License preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with effective communication skills for public interaction and report writing.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and avoid tardiness.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at the client site.
• Physically capable of standing or walking an entire shift and able to lift a 25lb fire extinguisher.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in aviation security or related fields.
• Bilingual skills for enhanced communication with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Control access to restricted areas of the airport, allowing entry only to authorized individuals.
• Screen and log persons and/or vehicles accessing restricted areas.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at access points to the airport's secured areas.
• Monitor and secure exit lanes from sterile areas to public areas of the airport.
• Patrol public areas of the terminal and respond to security breaches.
• Patrol parking garages and monitor curbside traffic.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, providing passenger assistance as needed.
• Prepare Incident/Occurrence Reports for incidents involving customer complaints, safety/security issues, or operational events.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
• Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs to enhance skills and career advancement.
