About The Position

The Deli Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling various deli products, including meats and cheeses. This role emphasizes providing high-quality customer service, maintaining cleanliness and presentation in the deli area, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Team members are expected to work collaboratively to deliver exceptional service and uphold the club's standards.

Requirements

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to Members.
• Slice, package, and weigh deli products, including cheeses and meats.
• Help Members select the correct products and answer their questions.
• Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
• Receive and inspect deli shipments, ensuring product quality.
• Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department.
• Ensure scale systems are in working order and items are weighed and priced accurately.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
