Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations support, programming, or another IT-related support area.
• Two (2) years of basic technical support work in help desk functions, installing and maintaining computer hardware and software, or programming.

• Experience documenting requests using the IT ticket system.
• Experience analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving software and hardware issues.
• Experience providing technical support on a Tier-1 level.
• Experience conducting new hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience with the inventory of hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
• Track status of all problems and monitor open issues.
• Resolve simple to moderate problems by providing support on hardware and software products.
• Act as a liaison between technical staff, users, and vendors regarding Help Desk and service requests.
• Diagnose and resolve PC and simple software problems using diagnostic tools.
• Install new software releases of simple to moderate complexity.
• Provide first level support for network connectivity and related issues.
• Prepare computer programs for business problem solutions from narrative statements and specifications.
• Perform technical functions in documentation control and production scheduling.
