About the position
The job overview for the Datacenter Operations Engineer role is to be responsible for the setup, configuration, installation, and maintenance of complex IT structures and hardware in the company's data centers in Frankfurt. This includes providing support to customers, performing server upgrades and replacements, and conducting testing of servers and components. Responsibilities
- Building and commissioning complex IT structures
- Provisioning hardware, software, and other services
- Configuring, installing, moving, and decommissioning servers and other hardware in data centers
- Providing customer support for server and component installations within the data center
- Upgrading/downgrading server components (storage, hard drives, etc.)
- Swapping server components and entire servers, including handling all relevant administrative matters (RMA processing)
- Testing servers and server components
- Having good hardware knowledge, particularly server hardware and enterprise IT components in a data center environment
- Having knowledge of various operating systems, preferably Linux and Windows Server
- Having basic network knowledge (DNS/IP/Netmask/Gateway settings, etc.)
- Working in a structured, careful, and results-oriented manner
- Having excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Having good written and spoken German and English language skills
- Possessing a valid driver's license (Class B)
- Being a technically skilled career changer is also welcome

Requirements
- Experience in building and operating complex IT structures
- Ability to provide hardware, software, and other services
- Proficiency in configuring, installing, moving, and dismantling servers and other hardware in data centers
- Knowledge of server and enterprise IT components in a data center environment
- Familiarity with various operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows Server
- Basic networking skills, including DNS, IP, Netmask, and Gateway settings
- Strong attention to detail and results-oriented work approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
- Valid driver's license (Class B)
- Technical knowledge and experience in a related field is a plus
