Corpay is currently looking to hire a Database Developer - Contractor for our CORPAY division. This position falls under our CORPAY line of business and is located in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will be involved with technical design, development, and delivery of software applications. The right candidate will be able to understand architectural requirements and recommend optimizations across environments.

  • Designing, development, and delivery of database driven software applications
  • Working with business analysts, system architects, QA Analysts, and business owners to ensure software applications meet the business requirements.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software application defects
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on database development experience with a relational database using stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)
  • Solid understanding of database design
  • Proficient in creating and tuning complex SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent conceptual thinker as the database is very abstract
  • Has aptitude for problem solving at an in-depth level
  • Can understand work-processes and data integration issues
  • The ability to work within a team environment or autonomously as required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of responsibility
  • Familiar with Oracle Developer Suite (Oracle Forms/Reports) 6i
  • Oracle ERP/EBS R11.5x Payables and Receivables
  • MySQL database & procedural programming language
  • ColdFusion / PHP / HTML
  • Crystal Reports / Power BI
  • Experience working in applications requiring strict security & PCI controls
  • Linux shell scripts / Visual Basic
  • Version-Control Software (Such as CVS, SVN or Git)
  • Company-issued equipment
