About The Position

The senior-level Data Scientist position at Ultra Intelligence & Communications focuses on leading advanced data analysis and systems engineering initiatives. This role utilizes AI/ML techniques to address real-world challenges, enhance system operations, and optimize product configurations, thereby enabling mission partners to make informed, data-driven decisions in complex environments. The position involves close collaboration with government stakeholders and offers opportunities for innovation and significant impact on mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level at hire.
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with strong command of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with real-time data processing, data engineering, and ETL pipelines.
  • Familiarity with deep learning, reinforcement learning, or natural language processing (NLP).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing data science teams and driving cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security considerations in data science applications.
  • Experience with model interpretability, bias mitigation, and explainability tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning models and AI solutions for mission-critical challenges.
  • Analyze diverse data sources to extract valuable insights for strategic decisions.
  • Mentor junior data scientists on technical problems and career development.
  • Manage end-to-end data projects from ingestion to model deployment and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement scalable, production-grade solutions.
  • Identify new data sources and methods to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Deliver results and technical insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, communicating complex ideas effectively.
