Data Scientist

NT Concepts is seeking a Data Scientist to support ongoing data analytics efforts within USSOCOM. The team will be responsible for conducting big data analysis, programming advanced computing, developing algorithms and AI/ML models, and utilizing visualization tools. The Data Scientist will interpret and analyze data, experiment against data points, coordinate with Data Engineers, and develop and deploy AI/ML models to enrich data holdings. The role requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree in data science or related fields, 10 years of experience, and demonstrated experience in applying data science methods and AI/ML.

• Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method
• Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to build Data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts
• Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
• Develop and deploy AI/ML models to enrich SOCOM data holding in support of priority intelligence requirements
• Create advanced analytic models leverage multi-modal datasets to answer complex intelligence questions
• Lead all data experiments tasked by the IDST leadership

• Master's degree or bachelor's degree in data science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields
• 10 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying AI/ML in support of decision making
• Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI/ML Ops, MATLAB, JavaScript, C/C++
• Experience with SQL/MySQL, Flask, Streamlit, REACT, SQL Alchemy, CI/CD, Jira, Share
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times
