The Data Reporting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining Regional Genetics Databases, Share Drive, and SharePoint and for creating queries/reports to support our prenatal screening, newborn screening, carrier screening, hereditary cancer, and tumor testing programs. Ability to work independently on numerous production and reporting tasks as well as to perform ad hoc data activities in support of the Regional Genetics Department. The ideal candidate will have exposure to and ability to understand medical systems and clinical terminology and be experienced with Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SharePoint design and administration, SQL, Oracle, Crystal Reports, Clarity, PowerApps, and FTP. Experience with Epic and familiarity with related Clarity data a plus.

  • Supports data analysis interpretation by applying findings to contextual settings under the guidance of more senior employees.
  • Develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions by working with stakeholders in their design, planning, and implementation.
  • Prepares data for analytic efforts by consolidating data; reviewing data for quality and accuracy.
  • Supports data-informed decisions by consulting with clients to identify and clarify key business needs.
  • Supports the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes by identifying metrics to be analyzed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
  • Knowledge of written communication, data extraction, data mining, data visualization tools, statistical programming language, relational database management, project management, and business planning.
  • Experience with Epic and familiarity with related Clarity data.
