Data Quality Engineer

The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for testing and validating data and analytics within the Business Intelligence and Product teams. Their main objective is to ensure that data sources are accurate and reliable, data pipelines are developed according to specifications, and reports and dashboards provide correct information and insights. This role involves understanding and testing complex database structures, developing testing strategies and automation plans, and conducting comprehensive source-to-target data testing. The Data Quality Engineer also plays a role in project activities and meetings, and maintains accurate documentation and objective evidence. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field is required, along with 2-4 years of experience in data involving quality assurance and excellent experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Understand and test complex database structures using SQL scripting and other methods.
• Analyze requirements and develop testing strategies and automation plans.
• Create, automate and execute test scripts that trace to the requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive source-to-target data testing, identifying issues with data accuracy, hygiene, and transformation logic.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and objective evidence.
• Determine effort estimates and timelines for data testing, tracking and managing the testing process in issue tracking, such as Azure DevOps.
• Participate in project activities and meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field
• 2-4 years of experience in data involving quality assurance
• Excellent experience with SQL, relational database and data
