The Data Governance Business Analyst is responsible for preparing requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations in compliance with VWGoA standards, policies and methodologies. Gather and synthesize functional and non-functional business requirements ensuring alignment to business strategy. Execute gap analyses between business requirements and best practices. Develop business cases, process and business test strategy, case, and execution. A strong focus on data protection is desired.

  • Manages compliance requirements for vendors as well as internal data.
  • Leads gathering, refining, documenting, user acceptance testing, and coordination of Data Governance and Privacy (Legal/OGC) requirements.
  • Supports the data mapping of data elements to mandated categories per State laws.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis where needed.
  • Subject matter expert of all data and can handle and speak to it in potential urgent situations.
  • Works closely with VWGoA AMS/Service/Product teams to integrate new data/new data usage into VWGoA's privacy solution.
  • Manages all requirements in JIRA/Confluence, obtaining signoff from Management in Compliance, Privacy (and where applicable IT).
  • Documenting decisions, processes.
  • Monitoring operational activities and identifying risks.
  • Responsible for administration of Enterprise Consent Admin Portal.
  • Leads all 40+ communication templates/touch points with consumers related to state privacy rights.
  • Define and document, auditable standards and policies.
  • Identify opportunities to guide business partners through Data Governance processes.
  • Facilitate and participate in Data Governance working groups.
  • Review, Suppress, Redact, and approve consumer Data Subject Requests on behalf of the business.
  • Scheduling meetings.
  • 4-6 years of experience in delivering technology solutions in the areas Data and IT management.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 6+ years of Automotive, CRM or IT Experience, preferably working with large data sets and data quality concepts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic.
  • Solid knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Privacy topics.
  • Experience managing an ERM program.
  • Master degree in Data Management or Science.
  • Cloud experience and certifications highly desirable.
  • Ongoing operations and process improvement experience preferred.
  • Familiar with social media/online environments.
  • Familiar with automotive technology.
  • Understanding of Dealer and Field hierarchy.
