About The Position

Kwik Trip, America's #1 rated Convenience Store, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support its growth towards more than a thousand locations. This full-time position is crucial for enhancing the Data Governance processes to ensure world-class service. The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for driving improvements to the established Data Governance Program, developing policies and standards, supporting compliance efforts, and implementing metadata management software. The role involves collaboration with various business and technical teams to foster the development and adoption of new processes, guidelines, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
  • CDMP Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Expertise in governance, compliance, or metadata management.
  • Demonstrated experience with project leadership, with specific experience implementing technology solutions.
  • Experience with agile software project management tools and methodology preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinking, organization skills, and a drive for quality and accuracy of results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to facilitate discussions with a variety of teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft business tools.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and enhance existing governance policy, protocols, and processes to strengthen governance posture.
  • Develop new policy as needed to support ongoing business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with security, technical, and business teams to foster ongoing alignment and compliance with implemented policies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for data governance policy and protocols in the organization.
  • Perform periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance to implemented governance protocols.
  • Review data sharing, software, and integration requests to determine business and data-related requirements, ensuring data security compliance and best practices are utilized.
  • Assist in development and delivery of data governance literacy efforts throughout the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to successfully implement Data Intelligence Platform/Data Catalog in the enterprise.
  • Identify, understand, and document requirements, processes, and workflows for metadata platform.
  • Translate these requirements into technical work items as needed.
  • Manage and maintain backlog prioritization and issue tracking with technical analysts.
  • Provide exceptional service to our internal business teams.
