About The Position

Heartfelt Impressions Early Learning Centers is dedicated to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and students. We are actively seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our Lake Orion team as a part-time custodian. Our custodians are responsible for keeping the centers clean and in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform light and heavy-duty cleaning daily to maintain the standard of cleanliness that parents expect for their children.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Having previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willing to complete a background check (conducted by Heartfelt Impressions).

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash daily.
• Clean, scrub, and sanitize garbage cans that are soiled.
• Ensure all containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals are clearly labelled and stored away from child areas.
• Clean and stock restrooms daily.
• Nightly; sanitize tables, chairs, counters, bookshelves, floors, sinks, and toilets.
• Must follow OSHA procedures and licensing standards for handling of chemicals and toxic materials.
• Check and dust for cobwebs daily.
