About the position
The job overview for the role of Curricular Solutions Architect at Newsela is to articulate bridges that connect Curriculum to Instruction by using Newsela’s engaging, authentic, and differentiated content. The Curricular Solutions Architect will build relationships with districts, work closely with the field sales team, and apply pedagogical expertise to architect curricular solutions that enable engaging and aligned learning in classrooms. Additionally, the role involves championing client needs and identifying untapped opportunities, as well as designing and implementing scalable systems to meet market demands. The Curricular Solutions Architect will rely on data, research, industry best practices, creativity, and ingenuity to ensure the final output is delightful to users.
Responsibilities
- Engineer content opportunities for Newsela's off-the-shelf products, custom content products, and curriculum design services
- Expand Newsela's Total Addressable Market by identifying strategic regional, state, and district content priorities and needs
- Identify and create synergies between existing content solutions and future opportunities
- Identify specific district content opportunities such as RFPs and other key account specific work
- Align content sales strategy with Newsela's Product strategy
- Create content investment business cases for prospective custom content opportunities
- Build relationships with districts in the territory and understand their content and instructional needs
- Architect curricular solutions that enable engaging and aligned learning in classrooms
- Champion client needs, requests, and untapped opportunities
- Design and implement scalable systems to meet market demands and client needs efficiently
- Utilize data, research, and industry best practices to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Content, and Product leadership teams to identify client needs and opportunities
- Use pedagogical expertise and consultative skills to ensure the final output is delightful to users
- Collaborate closely with the field sales team
- Have a deep understanding of instructional needs and build consensus on solutions with multiple stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of teaching experience
- M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction or other related field
- Experience designing quality instructional resources, preferably in a cross-curricular capacity across ELA, Social Studies, and Science
- Experience identifying instructional needs and building consensus on the just-right solution with multiple stakeholders
