About The Position

As a CSC Technician at Viasat, you will play a crucial role in the Technical Assurance Center, managing communications for international broadband services and satellite gateway earth stations. Your responsibilities will include incident management, technical troubleshooting, and coordination of maintenance activities, ensuring seamless operations of the network.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical troubleshooting in a corporate or call center environment, including network and user connectivity.
  • Proven experience providing excellent customer service in a complex environment.
  • Good communication skills, able to interact with different organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge of new environments.
  • Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Physically able to remove routers and other equipment from racks.
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Call Center/IT or NOC Ticketing Experience.
  • Experience leading others through remote troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of network data flow and network components.
  • Cisco Networking knowledge.
  • Radio Frequency knowledge and experience.
  • Field installation experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Command and control the international broadband services IP network and satellite gateway earth stations.
  • Assist the Customer Call Center and installers as the primary contact for network management.
  • Perform routine processes and coordinate part replacement and dispatch to various sites.
  • Isolate, triage, and escalate incidents to DevOps engineering during network outages.
  • Interact with physical and virtual network components to perform fix actions.
  • Handle advanced technical troubleshooting for single customer issues.
  • Coordinate and dispatch vendors to troubleshoot or replace hardware at sites.
  • Manage ticket queues and responses to external vendors and partners.
