About the position
This role is responsible for accurately monitoring and modeling the costs associated with cross border trade expenses in a global marketplace. The focus is on analyzing and optimizing the cost structure of duties, taxes, and freight to ensure profitability and margin consistency. The role involves supporting pricing strategy, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align fees with costs. The ideal candidate should have experience in customs and duties, revenue management, financial analysis, and possess technical skills in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Support pricing strategy for shipping and cross border fees by maintaining a robust model for costs associated with each lane: duties, taxes, and freight
- Work with Compliance and Tax teams to ensure correct application of duties and taxes to import values
- Identify anomalies in duty and tax costs and rectify with carriers in a timely manner
- Analyze and update dynamic pricing formulas based on latest costs
- Forecast changes to lane mix based on pricing changes to optimize staffing of authentication centers
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to establish a clean pipeline of carrier costs and binning to duties vs. freight costs
- Optimize package routing to minimize total cost within trade lanes and across lanes via dynamic pricing levers
- Develop strategies and requirements for Product & Engineering to align fees with costs, including predictive models based on real-time costs
- Research changes to business model to reduce tax exposure for the company or users
- Possess necessary technical skills in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Tableau
- Complete rigorous analysis and provide executive-level insights to drive action
- Collaborate effectively with analytical and non-analytical team members
- Knowledge of duties, taxes, and freight cost structures preferred
- Experience in customs & duties, revenue management, financial analysis, or business intelligence roles preferred
- Experience in cross border trade or e-commerce context preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in roles related to customs & duties, revenue management, financial analysis, or business intelligence
- Possess necessary technical skills related to Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau
- Ability to complete rigorous analysis and then synthesize to executive level insights that provoke action to grow StockX
- Ability to work well cross functionally with analytical and non-analytical team members
- Knowledge of duties, taxes, and freight cost structures preferred
- Experience working in a cross border trade or e-commerce context preferred
- Bachelor's degree
